Welcome to the
Holiday Card Exchange Project

Dates of Project:
November 28 to December 16, 2011

This project will be open to all PreK - 6th grade classes around the world.

Classrooms will be teamed with 29 other classrooms to exchange holiday cards.

Each class will be sent an excel document
with all names and addresses of
the classrooms in their group.

Each class needs to create (or purchase) enough cards to send ONE card to MAIL to each class on your list.

(Teachers are responsible for all postage costs)

by November 21st, 2011

Our suggested theme this year is SNOWMEN.
Check out the SNOWMEN for samples, ideas, and more.
However, this is a suggested theme -- and your class may choose to create other kinds of cards.

All cards must insert the template (provided here) on their card or provide the information from the template somewhere in their card.. This template will enable you to easily share information about your school to the 29 other classrooms you are sharing cards with.

All cards will need to be mailed to the other classrooms by the 9th of December.

You are encouraged to use Google Earth to share landmarks. You will find directions on the resource page.

Teachers are also invited to create a map of landmarks (from KMZ's sent from other participants) by using Google Earth. You also could make a bulletin board map.

NEW FOR 2011
Classrooms are invited to take a picture of
their bulletin board (or however the cards are displayed) and send to Jennifer by January 11th.
Jennifer will create a video to showcase all
the clever displays of cards!

If you wish to make a video of ALL your classroom cards to share with all participants, please send me that link.
(smilebox, animoto, mixbook are some options)

Just A Reminder......
since this was a holiday card project,
it will be possible to receive all kinds of holiday cards
(of differing beliefs and customs).
If a school has certain "restrictions" --
the teacher will need to be the filter of these cards.
