Jen, What a great idea! About 30 years ago I read The Sun Also Rises at UCR and fell in love with the last line. All these years I have carried it around in my head. What fun to finally be able to do something with that bit of trivia! I tried to post my last line yesterday but had some tech glitches. So I tried again today and hopefully you got it. Thanks again for this!!! Camille

You are so right. As a retired educator, I have to pay my own way to these conferences and with the economy, my budget is pretty limited. Even though I work with schools and teachers, I do not charge for the information that I share so there is no income by doing this. That is why I can only attend conferences that have no registration fee (our local technology conference is totally free so I am able to even present at this one!) or the registration is minimum (such as our state technology conference). Luckily our state technology conference is held locally so no lodging is required and I can attend. There may be others who can do registration or lodging but not both. I hope those who do have comps share them with people who could use them and not let them go to waste!

I couldn't be there live, but have spent time today looking at your resources! I can't imagine the actual keynote was anything but fantastic! I will try to listen to the archive soon! I'm confident many learned new ideas and will continue to connect and share!

I agree wholeheartedly with #1! One thing I have learned is that everyone is made differently for a reason. We all know there are many different types of students and learning styles, but people seem to forget that applies to everyone, teachers included, not just students. It can be frustrating when people don't understand this and try to conform everyone, but it can be rewarding when it is embraced. If us as educators worked together, brought all our strengths to the table, to do the very best for the students we serve, excellence is achieved. I am very lucky to work with a team of teachers who recognize and embrace our differences. We really do complement each other and have been complimented on many different occasions for it!
