I spent my weekend in Philadelphia, virtually that is — at the Educon 2.2 conference.

They must be congratulated for a well-shared conference….everything was shared out (at this moment, I am watching the opening panel on Sunday Morning via Vokle!)  And I have to give a shoutout to IAN — one wonderful student (From Temple) who was our moderator through 2 sessions yesterday — good job, grand smile!!

The specialness of Educon….http://www.educon22.org/……is hard to explain.

The concentration of quality conversations.  The concentration of many movers and shakers (some established, some goona be).  The concentration of understanding.  The concentration of friendships (new and old).   Just cannot be beat.

When I listen to the conversations — you can tell that people are moving forward in their ideas and we are not spiraling as much as the last two years in finding footholds.  People are making advancements — both personally and on their campuses.

The vagueness of what needs to be done is becoming more clear — however, in some ways more immense — but the blurriness of “woe is me” has been replaced with “here I go.”

But my question mainly to everyone — as this weekend is ending — is so, what’s next??

You are coming off the mountain top and going back to your day job — and how will you be different tomorrow?  What will be different tomorrow?  And how are you going to start sharing that with 1) your immediate campus and then 2) your PLN.

If you come down from Educon and just have fond memories of the event — that would be sad indeed.

So share — share it loud and strong — how did Educon change you, extend you, expand you, enthuse you, and enrage you (yes, enrage is okay) — and then, what are you going to do about it??

Please share — and then lets make a date to talk about it at Educon 2010, January 28 – 31, 2010.
